Limited is the only privately owned company that is a Category 1 member of the London Metal
Exchange (LME). The
company was incorporated in the early 1970s as a privately owned firm and has remained so
ever since.

Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
The company has
been trading on the LME open outcry trading floor since 1972. As one of the longest
running companies to trade on the floor, our reputation is second to none. The
Metdist Group also
trades physical contracts as well as the futures contracts on a daily basis.

Limited trades all LME non-ferrous metal contracts which includes Copper Grade A,
Primary Aluminium, Standard Lead, Tin, Special High Grade Zinc, Primary
Nickel, Aluminium
Alloy, NASAAC (North American Special Aluminium Alloy Contract), Cobalt, Molybdenum
and Steel Billet.
The
company trades through a variety of forums to establish markets. This includes electronic trading
on LMEselect, the 24 hour telephone market and the LME open outcry trading
floor which
trades between 11.40am and 5pm.
The LME has been
established for over 130 years and is still the world’s premier non-ferrous metals market.
